Blockchain Research Leads to Sony’s Blockchain-based Security System

The Japanese technology company Sony Corporation has submitted a new patent application on blockchain technology to increase the security to protect its network. Blockchain research will soon ensure the company can more securely protect information.

The patent will give the users the normal login credentials for the website and an authentication token to generate a unique code, according the the United States Patent and Trademark Office(USPTO). Thus, users have to enter the unique code to gain access.

The application involves two technologies made possible by blockchain research. One will create user authentication codes, and the other one will require the user to confirm her identity when they perform transactions such as data transfer, contract generation, and asset transfer. The enhanced security is intended to protect the end-users from possible threat.
